Welcome to Ideologics

February 19th, 2010

I started this company (Ideologics) a long time ago – probably 2002, the same time I started BloopDiary. If someone were to walk up to you and ask if you’ve ever heard of Ideologics, you’d probably say no. In fact, most people would need clarification on the spelling.

It’s 2010 now, and we’re on the verge of releasing a new game – Space Allegiance. Currently only available on the Facebook platform, it is considerably more involved than other social networking games.

As Steve Rodriguez (my partner in game development) puts it:

“Deep within the cold confines of space, a new epoch of the human race has begun…due to exhausting the Earth’s precious resources, new colonies must be established…”

Thanks Steve, that puts it nicely. Except one line of text could barely describe the huge level of interaction this game presents. Sure, you could just log on and destroy your friend’s colony, but if you spend some time getting to know the planet, you’ll discover secrets that could tilt the scales of competition.

February 28th – we’ll be presenting Space Allegiance for alpha testing; and for the first time in a long time, I’m excited.
